Kesselaar started out as an agricultural business. Since 1975 the emphasis has been placed increasingly on the cultivation of onions and gladioli. Nowadays Kesselaar specialises entirely in the cultivation, storage and processing of first-year onion sets, onions and gladioli.
In recent years the company has invested strongly in business assets such as new buildings, packaging machines and other equipment in order to increase the efficiency of the sorting and delivery process. The warehouse has been fitted with new storage technology such as continuous temperature and humidity monitoring. This enables the storage process to be controlled and adjusted from start to finish and enhances the quality of the onion sets.
